  All three terms refer to the same playing device. "Töggelikasten" or "Töggeli" is the typical Swiss term (Swiss German). "Tischfussball" and "Tischkicker" are the German terms, "Kickertisch" is also common – and in French-speaking Switzerland, it's called "Babyfoot".
• What is the difference between extendable poles and telescopic poles?
  Pass-through rods extend completely through the table and protrude on both sides. They are sturdier and standard on tournament tables. Telescopic rods retract into the table when moved – they do not protrude and are therefore safer for children and more space-saving. For family households, we recommend telescopic rods.
• Which foosball table is suitable for children?
  For children, models with telescopic rods (safety), lower table height, and light balls are suitable. Mini foosball tables are suitable from around 4 years of age. For older children and teenagers from around 8 years of age, robust standard-sized family models are recommended. Pay attention to sturdy legs and a stable construction.

  Yes, there are specially constructed outdoor foosball tables made from weatherproof materials (UV-resistant plastic, aluminum, coated metal rods). These are suitable for use in the garden, on the terrace, or in public spaces. Important: Not all "robust" tables are suitable for permanent outdoor use – explicitly look for outdoor certification.

For optimal playing comfort, at least 70–80 cm of clear space should be planned all around so that the rods can be fully extended.
• How much space do I need for a foosball table?
  For a foosball table, you need at least 3 x 2.5 meters of free space. The table itself is about 1.5 m long, plus about 70 cm on each side for the rods (with continuous rods) and some lateral freedom of movement for the players. With telescopic rods, slightly less space is required.
• How many players do you need for foosball?
  Table football can be played by two people (1 against 1) or four people (2 against 2). In a 2-on-2 game, each player operates two rods. There are also tournament formats with rotating partners.
